LAS VEGAS – Golden Gaming, Inc., owners and operators of the PT's and Sierra Gold taverns, announced today that NASCAR superstar Kurt Busch will help start the race day festivities for the 2009 Las Vegas Great Santa Run.

The announcement came during a press conference held by Opportunity Village, which benefits from all proceeds raised from the Las Vegas Great Santa Run. Busch will be in attendance throughout the Las Vegas Great Santa Run and fans can meet him inside the Golden Gaming tent that will be set up during race day.

"We are excited that Kurt will be joining us for the 2009 Las Vegas Great Santa Run," said Christopher Abraham, Golden Gaming, Inc. vice president of marketing. "Kurt will help bring great energy to the day for Santa participants and race fans alike."

Popular Las Vegas performers Zowie Bowie were also in attendance along with honorary chair and host of VegasDeluxe.com Robin Leach and competing race directors Alan Rothwell and Steve Martin from Liverpool, England and Australia respectively.

The 5th Annual Great Santa Run begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 at Town Square Las Vegas. Registration fees are $35 for participants 13 and older and $25 for participants 12 and younger prior to Dec. 5 and $45 on race day. The registration fee includes a five-piece Santa Suit and great gifts including a ticket to the 2009 season of Magical Forest at Opportunity Village. Interested participants may register through the Opportunity Village Web site or by visiting any Las Vegas PT's and Sierra Gold location.

Individuals will be able to pickup race packets and Santa Suits from Nov. 28 through Dec. 2 at select Sierra Gold locations. Packets and Santa Suits will also be available for pickup at Opportunity Village on Nov. 29 and 30.
